It all began a couple of weeks before the 17th when the males in the family could feel the fishing bug in their blood and felt there could be not just good, or great...but possibly awesome fishing on the horizon, hence the idea of a fishing trip in Central Washington was born.
Oz and Olivia arrived Friday night and we feasted on the steelhead that Kery had caught the weekend before. The next morning we feasted on grits and eggs at Sterlings in preparation for the day. Sterlings makes the best grits I have had for long time and there is nothing I love better than a bowl full of grits with butter, salt and pepper...yumiola!
It was mid afternoon when we hooked onto the boat and headed for Lake Walula with visions of steelhead and salmon dancing through our heads. We could hardly wait to get the boat into the water.
Oz quickly began looking for the best spot to anchor the boat......
Kery and I were just happy to be there....
